• Windguru As far as I'm concerned, the king of windsurfing weather sites. Only the windmaps below may be slightly more up to date but for sheer usability and brilliant information presentation, windguru wins.

  Go straight to my customised sites for KZN or just create your own login and set up your own sites. Brilliant.

• Windmaps On this page I've set up some canned windmaps using the NOAA sites to automatically select all the correct parameters. Let me know if any of this stuff isn't working.

• Midmar wind sentry We have our very own weather station up at midmar dam tracking the windspeed 24/7. It has the capacity to send you an SMS alert if the wind gets up! Check out the link above for how to subscribe to the service!

• South African Weather Bureau And when all else fails, check out the local guys. OK, I do give them a bit of a hard rap and they're really not so bad. It is just that they are catering for the general public and not us demanding wind sport people that are greedy for numbers, times, places and KNOTS.
