Hi guys,

I had an awesome sail at a spot called green point (not the one in Cape Town) which is a little bit North of Happy Wanderers. Chico was camping there so I went down to see him, and I took my kit along of course! I was not expecting wind, but a fresh Southerly sprung up. The beach was nice and long and sandy the tide was right and the bank perfect to create an extremely flat inside and a nice wave out back. Everything was just right, I even tried a back loop on my first run out! the riding was great too.

It may have been the fact that it was blowing S and that all the other factors were just right, but I think that this spot is worth another look.

Hey, that's awesome. Will try to find it on Google earth. Glad you got some sailing, Ike, must have been a while!

I see Green Point is touted as a world class point break. It does look flipping good from what I see. You may be right about the wind, though, the SW could be offshore and hence gusty.... of course if it isn't gusty it could be awesome cross/off for front-side riding.
