And, if so, why do we not see you sailing with us Gary? That's a great kit setup you've got.

Not sure if you going to get someone to part with R25 K
Think you might have to sell what you can and ship the rest to Capetown..

Looks like a few people are selling off their un used kit.
Maybe we should organise a Saturday yard sail somewhere?

Yes, am in Durban. Just not finding time to sail in Dbn. Diff to Cape Town where as you know the SE blows for 5 days in a row all day. And I could start sailing at 19h00 in summer. Gone back to surfing. Have been out at Country Club a few times, but not pleasant on my own. Am trying to sell and get into surfski racing.

Regards

Gary

Country club not a very nice venue unfortunately- wind is very onshore for the NE so difficult to get out / ride and SW there redefines the word "gusty" (waves can be nice, though).

Baggies is much better as both NE and SW are more or less cross-shore and you are usually sailing with a group too. In addition, the kiters are fewer and interact well with the windsurfers.

I guess it may be a bit of a trek from where you are but Ralph and Guy are also based in Dbn north and sometimes sail Virginia Beach and venues around there if you're not keen to travel.

Sounds as if it's much easier to "fit windsurfing in" in Cape Town but we do have a nice little group of 4-7 of us that sail pretty regularly and if you're able to hook up with us it will make it a lot easier - sailing in a group, better venues and stuff. I usually post on this forum if I'm going to sail so if you're ever keen to join get hold of us. My number is 0836581787.

Understand that you're planning to sell the kit but if you change your mind or find you don't get the price you want... would be nice to have you along.

cheers
James
