Be there..... I'll probably be down around 11. Forecast is looking good. Hope to be on 5m sails in sunny skies.

Nice day but should have used a 4.2.

Couple of nice sets but quite a challenge to get out at times...
Feeling the aches now but I am sure the boys enjoyed it.

Don't break any more masts.

and pull that downhaul some more.

Oh, leave the fish ALONE!

Great day out despite the expense :-(

I'm still debating the best way of getting worked over while in the water. Here's my conclusion so far- if you fear for yourself, hanging onto the back footstrap allows you to ride out the rinsing with a good chance of still holding onto your gear (ie flotation) at the end providing you get a good deep breath. However, this method generally results in the rig being washed ahead of the board and the mast can easly be stuck into the sand/rock (esp if it's shallow) and, with your added resistance on the board and the pole vault effect, easy for your kit to break.

I think holding the tip of the sail may give your kit a better chance of surviving but it's likely you'll be flung loose and will have to swim for it.

In general, I'd also say the kit often seems to survive better on its own than when you hang onto it, applying resistance.

Still, what a day! Can't believe we had a 4.2 NE day in june. Unreal.

Wavesailing conditions not ideal but there were still some decent vertical rides by R&R.
