I believe the parky down at Inanda dam is giving the windsurfers a hard time. They are now charging R30 per board per day to enter the dam. And I think you have to pay a license fee of R175 per year per board!! What a load of bull ! Are they trying to discourage non motorized sports? They should be charging Joe Soap R200 a day for his half a million rand boat.. For goodness sake!!

Grant, tell us more about this ridiculous story.
Have you got a plan of action? Or are we going to have to resort to the proverbial middle finger?

Seriously, this is ridiculous. Grant, let us know when and where we have to march. Who runs this place... is it msinsi resorts? Let's find out and write to these guys and let them know that there is no way we will support this.

The news from Inanda is

We will have to register a sailor not a board at R175 per year, the gate charge is R 30 per day to go and sail from the day visitors site with the jet skies and power boat , and R 30 gate fee and R90 for a campsite fee to sail from our usual sailing point in the camp ground, ( This is per person)
There is a new manager at the Dam and he needs to go on a Dale Carnegie course because he is not very people orientated,
I for one will not be paying these fees; I have paid for board Reg till July but will not be paying any further,
I feel that KZN that use to be the province of water sport has let the water sport community down and is now a province of foot ballers ( pandering to the masses , uneducated and non spending , non swimmers)
However the situation at Inanda may change as it has in changed 4 times in the last 3 weeks????
