Hey, there's a voice from the wilderness. Good to hear from you, Ike. I'm afraid I will try to get on the road a bit earlier... probably about 12.30 to arrive about 1.30. Can give you a report when I get there.

I see it's been blowing today but the swell forecast was pretty big. Wonder what it was like. Hopefully it is sailable tomorrow.

Disappointing.

It was blowing 15.5 knots gusting to 21 when I measured it so a bit on the light side. We rigged the big sails but there wasn't quite enough wind for the conditions. Waves were pretty big in close-out sets breaking on a shallow bank at low tide. The inside was flat but white water and currents making it difficult to plane out through the break consistently.

Reuben gave it a good go and made the most of what was rideable before packing it in. Cliff and I then had a few runs out and I spent most of my time out beyond the backline.

So, a bit disappointing in the end but no breakages and a nice warm afternoon at the beach is seldom unwelcome.

PS, thanks to Isaac and Cliff for using their skills to break into my car to get my keys out. Also thanks to mini-kiter Connor for being small enough to squeeze through the back window.
