Cliff and I are going to have a look at Baggies this afternoon... conditions are looking quite nice.

Great session at Baggies. When we arrived (shortly after 1) the wind was up, the sun was out and the sets were breaking quite cleanly from the left with no shore break.

Went out on 5/5.2 and I had plenty of power the whole session. The midbreak was very manageable with power although we both had a swim or two. There were plenty of nice ramps. The riding wasn't epic but do-able and there were lots of waves.

Later on (2.30 it seemed to freshen a bit and the sets got closer together and a bit bigger with more white water so it was a bit less manageable but still a great session.

I gather from one of the kiters that someone was out earlier. Dave, maybe?

Unfortunately not, had to do some work this week for a change.

I have been in Cape Town the last week and a half. Snapped the 10cm clean off the tail of my Starboard acid in 4m plus waves. Awesome sailing but a bit hectic.

Will most likely will go back this weekend if the predictions look good. Hopefully my board should be repaired.

There's some talk on the WS Africa site about the big swell in CT and some of the sessions but, typically, they only mention the sponsored riders despite that fact that our very own Dave was out there ripping it up. What do us East Coaster have to do to get recognition, I ask you?

Hi Dave,
Who's repairing your board for you?

I also need a board repaired...

I gave my board to a guy called Ray. He has a factory next door to Paul from 2nd Wind. Paul recommended him.

The name of his company is Long Ocean. He seemed to be quite jacked.

I am hopefully going to Cape Town this weekend to pick up my board. If he does a good job of it, I will let you know.

His number is 082 895 8426.

My board needs more than just a repair. So if it turns out alright, I will be impressed.
