A little bird told me

That some people had a flipping brilliant sail at Baggies yesterday... do any of the participants care to comment or was it a private affair?

I had my kit at work and was going to go but factoring everything in Monday afternoon looked like a better option. But from what I hear I missed out!

Ahem....

Ja, after you said you weren't going i decided to leave it till monday aswell. But Ralph gave me a call at around 12:45 to say he had had enough of work and was going sailing. So i decided to join him.

We rigged 5.6 and 5.8 and were nicely powered.
Conditions were awesome. the waves were very clean and nicely sized. You could catch a wave and ride it all the way to the beach and PLANE back out again, and catch a neat jump on the way out too. And there were plenty of waves. I was catching a good wave on just about every run in. Ralph even said it was too easy, and he was starting to get picky and only go for the BIG waves.
We sailed for about 1.5hrs. Ralph's footstrap screw broke, so we called it a day.
I would rate that session up there with Palms or even Capetown.. ( Does the wind blow in CPT ? )

Conditions at baggies have been very good lately. I think it might have something to do with the beach, which seems to be changing shape. the shorebreak is not as nasty as it used to be in the past. Almost similar to Palm beach now...

No wind for the weekend. See what happens on Monday.
