Joining the club is about supporting windsurfing in Kwazulu-Natal and South Africa and being part of a body that can represent your interests as a windsurfer. The larger the group, the more chance we have of being heard if we need to lobby for access (to windsurfing spots), consideration or sponsorship.
The club is also a useful central point of communication for windsurfers, keeping a database of active participants.
In addition, for beginner windsurfers and children, the club is an excellent resource offering learning kit and informal tuition and help. If we encourage and support beginners then we will grow the sport locally which will benefit all participants. The more people involved, the more exposure the sport gets, the more equipment available and the more events can be organised and sponsored.
